Odd Crop
Odd Crop is a sculpture, and collage piece that speaks on social anxiety. The receipt and item show a purchase of 1 “personality”. Surpressing your emotions and personality to fit into societal standards only lasts for so long until your inner self and emotions force themselves out of you. Sometimes your worst fear is yourself. And that’s not always bad.
The face depicted inside the shopping bag is a hand-sculpted air dry clay sculpture I arranged weeds into and around. The receipt was designed specifically to tell my narrative.
